A moose standing among trees and brush looking up, with it's nose and mouth white with snow from the willow branch it had been eating. Photo taken northwest of Fairbanks, Alaska on March 31, 2013.

More MOOSE NEWS!

This one's fine, too - thanks to the Maine wardens who lifted him to safety.

"Maine wardens save moose stuck in abandoned well in five-hour rescue: After animal was sedated, wardens used an excavator to gingerly lift it out of 5-ft deep hole on family's acreage". Photo shows the head of a moose, presumably sedated, with a black cloth over his eyes, with straps around him so that the excavator can lift him out of the hole.

Photo looking straight up to sky while standing among cluster of aspen trees. Sky is blue with puffy white clouds. Tops of trees frame a patch of sky.

I took this photo last week while hiking on the Upper Piney Trail to a set of waterfalls. After hiking past Piney Lake and along an open meadow with a view of the Gore Range, I entered a forest at the base of the mountain ridge. The trees varied in species from aspen to evergreen. This pic was taken in a cluster of aspen.

Look who’s dining out! The largest animals, by far, that I saw on my adventures in #Colorado were not on a trail, but next to a house in a neighborhood that abutted one of the trailheads. While walking to my car after a hike, I saw four #moose (two in pic) chomping on some delicious shrubs and trees next to the house. 🤣 This is a zoomed in photo— definitely kept my distance. #wildlife #nature #photography

Near trailhead to South Willowbrook Trail, Silverthorne.
