Research klaxon!!
I'm collaborating on a piece about #medieval women in #bookbinding and would love to know if there's scholarship about medieval #Islamic and East #Asian women working in the trade?
Please do share! (You be thanked in the article)

I bought some signature punches for a bookbinding project, and these can normally be very expensive so I was skeptical that they'd be any good at this price... but these things work GREAT. It's super easy to make neat signatures and bind your own notebooks.
You do need to buy an awl, thread and needle but that's it.
Why are the sections of a book called “signatures” what does that have to do with signing your name to a document if anything?
More using up scraps and off cuts today with tiny book keyrings. I'm still refining the method, but I think these came out pretty cute.

I never did a pinned intro post, so: Started in #radio 30 years ago, which transitioned to #podcast 20 years ago. “Mac OS Ken” focuses on Apple News. “The Checklist by #SecureMac” focuses on security. Did a show about #StarTrek, until the people who owned it wouldn’t pay a decent wage (no fooling). These days, all I REALLY want to talk about are #bookbinding, #fountainpens, #postcards, and #stationery. Well… and #VR. And #AR. And #Apple and #podcasting and radio.
Oh. And fuck the fascists.
