@atpfm #askatp Why still nothing about #ubiquiti selling equipment to the Russian military serving their terrorist war against #ukraine? https://mastodon.world/@sommer/115994194499797542

@atpfm @marcoarment @caseyliss I was a little surprised you didn’t talk about the #ubiquiti scandal, that they are selling to the Russian military serving their war against #ukraine https://hntrbrk.com/ubiquiti/

Well when #Ubiquiti changed the size of the #Unifi mounts, again, they stopped working with the celing recessed porta I use (Arlington ones for the record, dual gang).

This meant I couldnt mount the APs easily.

Weeeeelllll....

With the help of the old mounta, a drill, and a dremel, they can be!

Old style Unifi mounts bolted to new style ones so that rhey can be attached to the recessed ports

I've been learning more about #networking this weekend with my #ubiquiti #unifi devices. #VLAN almost makes sense 🥴

I'm still struggling with how to put my #proxmox server onto one VLAN along with a few VMs that will operate on the internal network, and put the other VMs on a separate VLAN. I have two NICs so I can segregate the traffic at the physical switch.

It seems like I need to install some software on ProxMox to have a virtual switch.

But I keep getting tripped up on the Unifi side.

🤔
