#fujinet is pretty well known in the Atari 8-bit computer scene. Well it has recently come to PC - but I'm not seeing it catch on like wildfire just yet.

There may be some resistance as we have our GoTeks and our XT-IDEs loaded up with goodies, and if we want to get on the internet we only need mTCP and an 8-bit ethernet card.

but check this out. Fuijinet joins your wifi network and gives you this web interface.

This is me loading a disk image off the internet and mounting it. You can also set up your own local server and put a bazillion of images on it.

I literally spend more time futzing with the knob on on the gotek to find what i want than this took.

I keep trying to tell people about #FujiNet.
That it is a WiFi adapter for your favorite #Atari8bit, #Apple2, #ColecoAdam, #TRS80CoCo, #Commodore, #Atari2600, #AtariLynx, and #MSDOS machines, with more to come.

But word isn't getting out.

Can u help?

#FujiNet WiFi Adapter project for #retrocomputing and #retrogaming systems needs hackers experienced with interfacing #RP2040 to CPU buses using the PIO state machine. We are bringing up our first bus based FujiNets.

Since this seems to be taking off within #FujiNet and it clearly has applications beyond for cross compiling software for 8/16 bit systems, I wanted to share it here. I've put together a #Docker container that has lots of assemblers, compilers, and disk tools. Just prefix your build commands and it does the work, without breaking ownership/permissions (common Docker problem). VS Code integration is being looked at now too.

#RetroComputing#VintageComputing

A whole lot of old computers with a variety of architectures, along with several programming books spread around. Front and center is a modern Mac laptop with a TRS-80 CoCo emulator running and a terminal window using defoogi for compiling the FujiNet CONFIG program.
