Petit tips pour les pirates qui en ont marre de torrenter sur yggtorrent :
Le tracker FR semi-privé sharewood.tv fait son calendrier de l'avent, c'est l'occasion comme chaque année de gagner du freeleech et du ratio juste en se connectant sur le site chaque jours.
ça peut être un bon moyen de démarrer l'aventure :D
(à noter, les inscriptions sont validées manuellement si je me souviens bien, ça peut prendre un peu de temps)
J'aime bien ce tracker, la communauté est assez saine et le système de points récompense le temps de seed en plus de la quantité d'upload, ce qui fait que tu peux conserver ton ratio même si t'as une petite connexion et pas de seedbox.
Aussi, contrairement à Ygg et à beaucoup de sites de torrent grand public, il n'y a pas de pub et c'est géré bénévolement, ça change beaucoup de choses sur la résilience de la communauté.

The #ruTorrent web interface to my #seedbox keeps acting up, and doing restarts and repairs only seems to fix things for a day or three. But what I've read suggests sharing 4300 torrents shouldn't break things.
So I've been playing with the other #torrent clients available on the seedbox, qBitTorrent and Transmission. The latter is a toy only fit for simple downloading. I've been sharing some DVD rips I did for 15 years.
While #qBitTorrent has some capabilities, it's missing something as basic as dropdowns. I doubly categorize all my torrents; triply the newest ones. In ruTorrent, I can traverse a directory tree to get to the particular folder I want to drop a torrent in.
Not so in qBitTorrent, which expects me to type in a long filepath manually. I'm not going to drop different sorts of files, from multiple public and private servers, in one big pile.
I also label everything in detail, again mostly from my sixty pre-made labels, which I choose from a dropdown. qBitTorrent expects me to manually input those as well. Yeah, no. The amount of hoops required to make Q work barely adequately is too much, and I'm forced to stick to R, no matter how many errors it pops up when I change a ratio or whatever.

I was very pleased to discover that Wikipedia provides torrents of the entire English encyclopedia and that they're only about 20GB. I really thought it would amount to more than that, and I'm happy to finally have a local copy of Wikipedia. This doesn't include media like images and audio, or userpages and talk pages, but the text is by far the most critical part to have backed up.
I doubt I'd be able to host all the media at once, but this makes a totally #P2P (or #federated) encyclopedia look very possible.
