Wouldn’t it be something to see this rolled out to people working on free (as in freedom) technology for the common good so we didn’t have to bake in ways of surviving under the current capitalist system into the tech we’re designing just so we can pay the “cost of living?”

“Sustainable” under capitalism has a very different meaning – it means making a profit (even if you’re a not-for-profit) whereas “sustainable” in general has no such connotation.

Poverty is a policy choice. Nations can choose to reduce poverty by investing in their people with universal basic income.
