🧳🇩🇪 Time to check in, at The Low Budget Hotel (Germany). We are sorry to inform you that there has been a problem with your booking 😱

Built in the 1960s in an east German spa town, this hotel closed around 15-20 years ago as two modern hotels opened, drawing guests away from older establishments. Many hotels closed in the town, and this hotel was actually among the last to succumb.

💉👩⚕️🏥Step inside Dr Anna’s Haus, once the medical practice and residence of a small-town surgeon in Germany.

The lower floors once functioned as a surgery, with an operating room, gynecological chair, examination light and a small library. Medicine bottles and medical tools remain in place.

The upper levels served as the doctors’ residence. A Steinway piano still stands, its room tinted pink by curtains. Sheet music lies scattered across the floor.

This Collapsed Hippodrome was once a hive of showbiz talent and entertainment. In 1914 it opened as a theatre. It has been derelict since the late 2000s.

The stage is overgrown with trees and plants, and torn, white curtains hang from the proscenium arch. The ceiling and roof are partially collapsed, revealing the sky. The foreground shows the crumbling seating area with rusted metal railings and debris.

The disused zoology department, somewhere in England 🐷🏫

Closed in the late 2000s, it was recently stripped out with renovation plans underway. Seemingly, these plans have been paused leaving the buildings future uncertain. So glad I got in and took photos before all this was thrown in the skip 😱
