@thibaultamartin I'm most probably much less skilled than you are, and I can already say that my first #selfhosted deployments on a #raspberrypi and a #VPS were already too much. Resilience and scalability are sooo underrated!

I just gave up on the VPS and the #pihole

I'm even considering to move away from my #synology#NAS and use a "clean" cloud service. Drive, photos backup, contacts/calendar/tasks (but my mail being on #mailfence, I could already have those 3 on my current subscription).

I would be grateful to hear your suggestions about that live, and about decent service that could help me.

Verständnisfrage: Ich habe #paperless_ngx auf meiner #Synology NAS installiert.
Ich habe #Ollama und #AnythingLLM auf meinem Desktop-Rechner installiert (aus Leistungsgründen, weil die Synology halt nicht so viel Leistung hat wie ein Desktop-Rechner).
Nun möchte ich #paperless_ai installieren. Wie kann ich das auf dem Desktop tun und mit dem bestehenden Ollama verbinden, damit ich nicht Gefahr laufe, nochmals Ollama auf der Synology NAS zu installieren?

Just saw someone whose Google account was shuttered. They’d been… using Sheets to track movies they’d watched.

A question people should ask themselves, but rarely do: What would you do if, tomorrow, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Dropbox, and every other cloud provider you use closed your account without warning? Then maybe spend some of today safeguarding against that eventuality.

@craiggrannell I went with a #Synology#NAS. Has a "Dropbox" like functionality. And it also has a Google Suite like app that you can install. But, I mostly use @libreoffice for my those things.

Synology recently announced that some of its network-attached storage (NAS) require Synology-branded storage for full functionality.
