Is there a plan to also support Android?
I've tested #Moshidon Android Mastodon client for a week, coming from #Tusky.
positive:
- better use of screen estate
- I saw the list of pendig "follow requests" for first time 😲 I didn't notice via Web interface nor Tusky.
negative:
- doesn't reliably remember last reading position (same as Tusky): in Moshidon it's not that easy to re-find your previous position again while in Tusky, there is this reliable "load newer content"-marker which helps with that
- too much of a longer toot is hidden behind an expandable button (personal taste)
- I'd like smaller font size
- missing: share content of toot + URL
- No notifications working OOTB ( #UnifiedPush)
- notification area doesn't merge multiple boosts/favs as Tusky does
- Unclear visual clue of message borders/start/end
- unclear: does Moshidon support toot quotes? Webpage says so but I haven't seen any yet
Will switch back to Tusky now.

On iOS, I remember I was using (back in 2022/early 2023) #Icecubes and #Tusker - which looks nice but I can’t find the quote post option.

So #Moshidon has a button shaped kinda like a symbolic eye just above posts with media. It lets you hide the media in the post.
I dunno if other apps have that feature at all; if they do it's not nearly as prominently displayed.
This is a good feature. I'm not 100% on board with everything else about Moshidon vs. the main Mastodon app or Tusky, but I don't care. That feature is enough to earn some loyalty from the Owlbear.

Es cierto que en otras apps (como la mía o #Tusky) la experiencia es muy sólida y estable, pero ese botón de 'ojo' en #Moshidon es oro puro para evitar la sobrecarga visual sin tener que bucear en ajustes. Al final, lo mejor de #Mastodon es precisamente eso, poder elegir una #app solo por un detalle de interfaz que te gana.

@Cohnina Du möchtest dann vermutlich die Option "Titel der Hauptleiste einblenden" in den Einstellungen aktivieren. Dasacht, dass eigenes Profilbild und das Drei-Punkte-Menü immer angezeigt werden.
Bin selbst ziemlich happy mit #Pachli, nachdem ich vor längerer Zeit von #Moshidon dahin gewechselt bin. Es ist einfach angenehm aufgeräumt, finde ich, und bietet die richtige Menge an Anpassungen für mich.
Was ich übrigens überhaupt nicht mag an Pachli: Warum muss ich teilweise extra nach unten ziehen, um die obere Leiste sehen zu können? Ab und zu muss ich auf die Optionen, die dort versteckt sind, zugreifen - sind ja schließlich fast alle 🤪
- Das fühlt sich an wie bei Instagram, wo die sinnvollen Sachen auf der Profilseite erstmal nicht sichtbar sind.

Look & feel gewinnt einfach.
Egal wie viele Fehler es geben mag, jetzt wird es erstmal #Moshidon - nach #Megalodon möchte man einfach zu keiner anderen App wechseln 😉
Praktisch an Mastodon: man muss nicht viel einstellen, wenn man den Client wechselt
Nachteil: so ein Client ist hauptsächlich Aussehen und Gewöhnung ...
Hatte #Pachli favorisiert, aber es ist eben ganz anders 🫣
Die vielen Einstellungsmöglichkeiten sind in #Megalodon einfach super praktisch organisiert.
Dazu kleine Dinge, wie anpassbare Icons für Tabs.
Kann und will ich mich umstellen und -gewöhnen? 🤔
Bleibt noch #Moshidon zu testen. Da habe ich von einigen Fehlern gelesen ...
