I wonder what the human psychology is that when someone does not disagree or criticizes a post here on the Fediverse it prompts "big accounts" to abandon ship, yet when it's over on what's left of Twitter or Bsky and they're besieged by trolls, etc., they just shrug on carry on? 🤔
(not a *lot* of that nowadays, but every so often).
Good point. Always felt that complaint was mostly pretextual, and it was more about the follower, boost and favorite/like numbers than anything else.
I mean we're all the unpopular kids here. If someone comes here wanting to be popular it's a losing battle from the getgo.
We don't give one shit about your follower numbers or your reach or whatever. We're here to have a good time and learn stuff maybe.

I also wonder how much is because they feel like being here is trying something new and most of the criticism (that I see, anyway) is "I won't follow you because you're doing it wrong!" as opposed to the usual trolling on other places.
