Most flavors of markdown allows asterisk and underscore to be used for both bold and italic, with one for italic and two for bold. Some specify a character an the quantity doesn't matter.
I think this is insane and that there is an obvious correct symbol and quantity for each style.
But I'm curious what others think...
@lyonsinbeta Your poll doesn’t include enough options for what I think, haha. I’m fine with single asterisks and single underscores for italics. I don’t like it when apps force me to use one or the other, esp because they don’t all agree. Bold is always double asterisks, though, never double underscores (wtf) 😅
