Have you ever met someone from the Fediverse in person to do something together?
I don't mean at a Fediverse-related event. If you have, I'd be curious to hear what kind of activity brought you together.
I've seen people from other social media platforms organize offline activities and meetups, Facebook and Instagram (Meta), Orkut (Google), and Twitter (now X), and I'm curious whether this happens through the Fediverse too.

I have and it was fun. We've met several times.

Not done really something together, but met people offline at concert, which we both said ,we will go to the concert xyz.
Not sure if that counts.
@joergi For me, it counts. It's a social activity where you meet people you initially knew online. 🙂

I've met people from #Fediverse during scifi cons.
@everton137 Not yet, but I have got a lot of IRL friends from the internet, so I believe it's only a matter of time.
@everton137 I met my best friend at a furry convention last year (it was after a Fediverse meetup, which we both attended) and we did several things together in VRChat over time. This year I met her again at the same con IRL and after that I visited her to attend Pride in her home town.

I went to a Mastodon meetup in my city and met a nice woman there. A few weeks later, we went out for lunch together. 🙂
@everton137 I met @tek at a showing of the movie “Hackers” at a south of market club once… years ago. It was a bit surreal and cool.
