If uber eats et al were held accountable for their employees breaking the law, most of the illegal motorcycles on the streets would disappear.
Why these businesses are given a free pass is beyond me.

@chrisgerhard this is why the Uber/Deliveroo is so toxic in so many regards, the delivery riders aren't actually employees they're independent contractors. Which means the company isn't responsible for giving them sick pay or holiday or anything, and can wash their hands of any responsibility for how they do the jobs they bid for
