It’s confusing when one lives near the IOW and it is often referred to as that in abbreviation, but other people who don’t live near the IOW use IOW to mean other words entirely

@EF sure, but then I wouldn’t have been able to have some word play.
It was in response to another post where it was in all caps and I did initially parse it as Isle of Wight (because of my local bias) until I realised it meant In Other Words
@urlyman Come over our way, where newbies wonder why lots of signs have POW on them.
@urlyman grammar thing but IoW surely. Same as MoT, DfT etc.
Wondering what IOW means ignoring the Isle?
