@wjmaggos I guess we have different experiences on the Fediverse. There's plenty of instances with different viewpoints in my experience, but maybe your experiences are different from mine.
I know of non lefty servers but they are mostly fediblocked. can you provide examples?
@wjmaggos I guess it depends on your definition of left & right. I assume the general political defs?
I'm not an expert on left vs right leaning servers & haven't researched this into depth.
Most of the servers I heard of that were blocked by virtually all others servers lacked moderation resulting in clearly abusive behaviour towards people or spreading illegitimate materials. Oh and blocking based on bridging with BlueSky or Threads.

the way we do that is give most people an alternative. the fedi so far fails to do that in that honestly expressing yourself here would get the majority of people blocked, harassed or forced to move to a mostly defederated for being not quite left enough. fedi folks know they have family members who while they would never troll anyone, would not be welcome here. we're pushing people into the arms of fascist propaganda.
