My friend's queer-owned antique shop got a bunch of protest badges from the 70s and 80s in, I reckon someone extremely cool just passed away.
So of course I scurried in and helped relieve him of a few which have now been added to my Nonviolent-Communication-As-An-Alternative-To-Battle Jacket.
(I must admit I'm less keen on the lesbian one having read the card and learned it was about political lesbianism, it doesn't really get more grim than a woman being with you as a political statement when she'd really rather be with a man. I read it as lesbianism being framed as an aspirational state any woman could hope for, as a pushback against the idea that it was something to be ashamed of. But I guess it's my badge now and I can say that's what it means)
He's also got some more uranium glass in (background info in this thread https://social.coop/@afewbugs/116692962744917227) including this rather odd necklace that would suit a raver who didn't want to move much.
@afewbugs you can love women, they can’t stop you
@afewbugs well those pics took me right back.
