I have an awful, terrible song; dangerously beautiful and poignant. A cover warning is warranted. Written by a Jewish poet/composer named Abel Meeropol. Meeropol was a member of the communist party in the 30's, and sympathized with the Rosenbergs, who were executed for treason. Meeropol and his wife adopted the Rosenberg sons.
