@stevestreza @Gargron @nixCraft I think you’re underestimating how little people pay attention to most Linux projects and how much press DHH has gotten over this one. I don’t think it’s too dissimilar from why the best music and film is never the most popular.

@stevestreza Omarchy looks to me like a marketing vehicle. Putting money in it and your name on it is like putting your logo on an F1 team or football club.

I know next to nothing about Omarchy. But if it can lure devs away from Apple (or MS) and onto Linux that would be cool.

@stevestreza Maybe trying to seed another Canonical type business? Back in the 00s that was styled more like a community project even as Shuttleworth was ploughing money into a start-up. But then from what I have seen of Omarchy I am not sure how it's design is well suited to that.
