In Norwegian "larvae" seems to be "larver" (this is plural)
But it looks like the way you'd spell the way my dad says "larva"

@futurebird related fun fact; in Norwegian the title of the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar, is Den Lille Larven Aldrimett (the little larva never-full/never-sated).

I can't help you there, but here's a song from my childhood full of punnery based on the fact that the standard playground taunt for a glasses wearer is "brilleslange", "glasses snake" (spectacled cobra), and additional word play based on such coincidences as sebra (zebra) being pronounced just like se bra (see well) which 'rhymes' with kobra and how "slange" means both snake, hose and inner tube ...
