The second thing ideally shouldn't be politics, but it is and always has been the core of politics?
I think there must be two wildly different baseline assumptions floating around about what "politics" is?
To me, it's always been primarily the second issue. Because there's always been people/parties working hard to do that kind of exclusion and oppression, and being against it is the core of my politics.
The other definition is that it is just a vote on pizza or burgers for lunch?

@fredy_pferdi but also like, look at the state of the world mate. This could be about a million things. Do you not pay attention to what’s happening every day?
@danirabbit just was not in the clear if there was nuance and did not get the reference imminently, not so deep in the game, I do try to pay as much attention in as many fields with relevancy as just possible.
Also super funny to get an essay defending them having the right to be a reactionary nazi type as a "political opinion" while them saying you are not allowed to have "political views" in their own company. The reactionaries and liberals use this "political views" narrative whenever it opportunistically benefits them in many different forms.
