I have a cat flap in my bedroom door so I don't have to wake up to let the cat in.
In theory.
In practice he forgets daily how the flap is supposed to work, so I'm constantly woken up by the tiniest pathetic meows.
why dont you just like, leave the door open

I have a housemate, he watches tv loudly at all hours. The cat flap doesn't let in as much sound as leaving the door cracked does.

@heathen_cat @catsalad My late cat used to pretend he didn't know what a cat door is, so I had to slot him in and out of it like a furry parcel through a letter slot. One day he thought I wasn't in, walked right through and saw me on my bed, made eye contact with the most "I HAVE BEEN CAUGHT THIS IS MEOWKWARD" look ever on his little face.
