falsehoods programmers believe about a third of the time, but unfortunately that third is in the 1am-5am hours, when they get all their programming done.
... those falsehoods include things like "I'm in a flow right now, I can design this API derived structurally from first aesthetic principles I don't need to test it out" and "this is clear code that will be intuitive when I read it later", and, of course, "now is a good time to be programming".
