I got followed by the "Holos Discover" bot. Anyone have opinions about this specific project? Assume I'm not inherently hostile to search given I have indexing enabled for my posts, but have no idea who these people are.

@misty the dev seems to develop fedilab and a bunch of other fedi-related software. which does make it curious that they don’t seem to link to any personal accounts on the fediverse, but that may well just be to head off any attempts to make such an account tech service 🤷♀️
@20000lbs_of_Cheese @brhfl It also seems like "Holos Discover" may actually be its own project and its gotten a release in the last month, so it may still be in active development?

At least someone is trying to make search actually useful, although the hoa’s fetishization of consent will make it an uphill battle
