When did you last eat a nutrition bar?
Hey, all. Of course, I was eating one yesterday when I posted this poll. I have probably 1-2 protein bars a week. I was interested to see how normal that is.
@evan I really liked PowerBars as a kid, the kind you could get in like the 90's. I don't know if they still make them. They were almost impossible to chew.
@evan I'm staying at my sister's place and I had one by mistake. I thought I was eating a regular candy bar and it wound up having a bunch of secret protein in it.
@evan Does a Reese's peanut butter cup count?
@evan Over a year ago, I think, because they're really expensive here.
@evan
Never. I don't know why I just haven't had one, nothing against it
@evan I have never ever eaten one.
Do German nutrition bars count?
@evan
Please help my family π
Don't forget my family

@evan I have a granola bar occasionally (one a month maybe?) but that's just oatmeal, nuts and seeds, slightly sugary.
The nutrition bar thing I don't think I've had in a good 15yrs or so, probably with lunch during a hike.
I ate a nutrition bar yesterday, but only because I couldn't find the peanut butter cookies.
High calories for the benefits, take trail mix instead
@evan I only have protein bars when I'm traveling. Traveling means "will not be sleeping home."
You can define "nutrition bar" however you'd like.
For me, I'd call protein bars, meal replacement bars, and energy bars "nutrition bars".
I would say that candy bars, gold bars, bars of soap and cocktail bars are not nutrition bars.
If you can't answer this question without an exact definition, that's ok.
@evan Eating a whole cocktail bar doesnβt count?
Dammit.
@evan a block of cheese is my favorite nutriion bar
Depends on what you're drinking and what's on the jukebox.
@evan every morning I eat a practice test for the bar exam, but since that's not the real thing I voted for over a quarter ago
Granola bars and fig bars: iffy
Lemon bars and maple bars: right out
@evan what about Kudos bars? 90s kids are wondering...
This Japanese-only article "kanemochi" is linked from the protein bar article on Wikipedia. It's a traditional high-protein survival food used by bear hunters, featured in an anime of some kind. So, sure, this counts too, if you had one of these.
@evan Kind bars are basically inside-out chocolate bars.
Making it easier to see the peanuts doesnβt make it less full of sugar.
Filing under βgranola bars.β
@evan For me βnutrition barsβ are sawdust, vs candy bars which are fancy sugar.
