Went into Aldi with a friend who needed to get some groceries. Big stack of these bad boys on sale for $20 AUD, so I figured I'd get one. I wonder if I can hack it to replace the screen with a better one and add more games... not that 300 random arcade games isn't fun enough to have sitting by my computer at all times.
I kinda love that retro games are just EVERYWHERE including supermarkets now.
Update: I tried to open it to gaze upon its insides, but the side stickers seal it further and I don't want to break them. I might wait until I've seen a youtuber do a teardown of it and see how it goes.
Honestly, what I'm tempted to do is replace the terrible screen (bad viewing angle) with a same-size one and a decent rpi-esque insides for more games. But I'd have to re-do the outside arcade cabinet look too soo... yeah will see someone else doing it first.

Someone's convinced ALDI to legitimise the "warehouse full of knockoff NES parts to physical product" pipeline. This thing is shady as fuuuuck.

it's fascinating that right now I can buy a 20,000 games (I'm sure all officially licensed) mobile console on Amazon with a 64GB card or a 128GB card by itself for the same price
