I see toots bemoaning the lack of famous people and influencers on the fediverse. Am I alone in seeing that as one of the big positives here? I like accounts that interact with people and where we aren’t just feeding their need for attention
There's nothing wrong with having famous people on the Fediverse *as long as* they interact. Not with everybody, that would be nigh on impossible, but regularly and with a variety of followers.
Influencers can bugger right off though.
@PeterLG exactly, I just hate the one way and the shitty comments when they don’t get the attention they’re looking for here because there’s no algorithm shoving them in people’s face.
@isol well sure, but you interact so clearly you’re fine!
Also, that whole fake content thing on Facebook is just 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
@dropbear There have been a few who tried to participate, but they usually get absolutely inundated with replies and likes and seem to have few tools to manage that. I remember Alec from Technology Connections lasting about a week.
@stufromoz @static ha ha, I’d be one who’d have to look her up. George Takei is on here but he interacts with people
