One thing I do like about the South.
Thunder, lightning, actual rain. Not the half assed rain "storms" we get in the Bay Area.

We can see the Blue Ridge escarpment from here and I was driving back at night watching a storm in the mountains.
I can remember one maybe two real thunder storms in the Bay in 16 years in the Bay Area.
Also holy shit 16 years.
