@hmwilker Interessant, schau ich mir an. Hab ja mal selbst ein Buch mit Konfliktszenarien geschrieben. Darauf, realen Politikern von heute Rollen in der Zukunft zu geben, wäre ich nicht gekommen. Wenn der Titel hält, was er andeutet, war das unabhängig davon sehr weitblickend.
@christianschwaegerl Das Szenario in EUROCAN ist gut gemacht. Ich fand es nirgends richtig unglaubhaft. Viel Spaß! Und Dein und Andreas‘ Szenarien muss ich auch mal wieder lesen.
@hmwilker Dass Kanada der EU beitritt, wie der Economist nahelegte, halte ich zudem für komplett unpraktikabel und schief. Eine überwölbende Union, die auch UK, EFTA-Ländern, Grönland, Ukraine bei ihrem jeweiligen Status abholt und neben ökonomischer Integration/Machtballung vor allem militärische Kooperation außerhalb der US-dominierten NATO ermöglicht, wäre mit einigem Aufwand aber machbar und sehr sinnvoll. https://www.economist.com/europe/2025/01/02/why-canada-should-join-the-eu

@kleisli I know…but they’d be free to join and after Trump’s tariffs attack and insults there would be good reasons to do so.
You think they could fit Australia, new Zealand and all the Pacific islands into there too

@MelissaBearTrix Well, Australia, NZ, Pacific Islands, Japan, South Korea … might do the same and then the Transatlantic and the Transpacific Union can team up just like Carney envisioned it in his Davos speech.

Sadly, Davos (not pronounced like Davo's Burgers, but more like Da-fo's) is the place where 'important' politicians & billionaires & aspiring ones suck each other's genitals for good luck & higher earnings. Nothing good that I've seen ever came of it.
Though the skiing is great. But the best runs, like Parsenn, are on the side of Klosters, thus even depriving the bigger town of its skiing fame.
I hear the British royals own property there. Says it all, no?
Looking at the map, Reykjavik or Nuuk would be the natural capitals.
