I think we were all idiots at some point. I certainly was in my 20s.
No, I respect his contribution to the world, but that kind of conduct is completely destructive and antithetical to any kind of fully inclusive cooperative environment.
Which is not only ultimately harming Linux, more importantly it's still harming people, even if it isn't directed at them.
There is no need to be a hyperbolic and insulting about someone's work. That is harmful.
It's easy to criticize work without being an asshole, doing otherwise is just narcissistic laziness.
