1. I use my NYTimes account on 2 laptops with 3 web browsers, plus a phone and a tablet. I have to endure this "confirm your account" BS constantly.
2. I'm so old I remember when an entire household would get a copy of the newspaper. You didn't need separate subscriptions for each family member.
Here we go again. What a dismal customer experience.
And although I believe it's fine to share my NY Times login with my family, to be clear, I am not. It's me and me alone.
@stshank
Right , no loopholes should be created. A simple act of carelessness may destroy everything in a short period of time.
@stshank Yeah that's super annoying. Apple TV does that to me a lot too, makes me re-login frequently.
Newspapers used to keep track of 'pass along rate,' the number of people who read each copy. For WaPo it was something like 2.5 and they used this number for setting advertising rates. But digital tracking is so much more...something something.
@stshank I mainly use my subscription on my phone. I refuse to use their app, I just access via the browser.
Every second time I open the page I have to clear that full page request that I upgrade to family access before I can ready anything.
It's maddening.
