What alternative is left for national radio news? Fox?
@mattblaze That’s about it on the commercial side - Fox and ABC. NPR, of course, for public radio.
The guy who owns WABC in NYC created something called Worldwide News Network after CBS News Radio died, but I don’t know if anyone carries it.
@samlitzinger I worry particularly that the contraction/implosion of the industry means that if the internet goes down in an area in an emergency, radio will cease to be a viable alternative source of reliable and timely local information, because the infrastructure that supports it will have shriveled up and died.
