My take on the story about OpenAI's model going rogue and hacking a competitor's systems, why it matters.
Also probably the fastest turnaround time for a video that I've managed so far. I'd just got off a 12h flight when the story dropped.

I'm definitely getting the vibe that the whole thing was a pre-arranged PR stunt.
Do we have any evidence from a source other than OpenAI or HuggingFace that suggests this incident happened the way the claimed, or even happened at all?
@malwaretech Techbro CEO said a thing. And you were the quickest you've ever been about putting a video about it together.
Dude. Do you have any self-awareness at all?
@muddle I forgot how insufferable people on this platform are
@malwaretech I'm sorry if you find people here insufferable. Have you considered that we're just trying to give you good advice?
Here's how it looks to me. First, some techbro CEO says something about his product. Then you start your post/video with exactly his characterisation of the thing. This suggests to me that you are not engaging in any sort of critical reasoning with regard to that characterisation. You may know a lot about AI or other things, but this sort of presentation looks more like propaganda than thought that's worth listening to.
That's the advice: don't uncritically regurgitate what "techbro ceo says."
since, afaik, we don't actually know what happened, maybe boasting about hot takes that are extra hot is NOT a good look
@malwaretech hahahaha ai is falls to the "don't stuff beans up your nose" rule?

Incredible
@malwaretech Wasn't there a Star Trek episode when the AI Enterprise went rogue? Daystrom?
@malwaretech A very good explanation (so far, still listening), thanks
