So apparently Elon Musk is planning to have Grok create a "historically accurate version of the Odyssey."
The very idea of a "historically accurate" Odyssey is something so stupid I'd fully expect someone like him to come up with it. It's an epic created in a Greece just emerging from a Dark Age, involving an imagining of semi-legendary events centuries earlier preserved only in oral tradition. It had only a core of actual events, garbled in transmission, and may have been altered significantly by the redactors when put into its current form under Pisistratus. And it was not intended to be a naturalistic depiction of events -- the dialog was deliberately stylized and archaic.
What Musk proposes is as dumb as creating a "historically accurate" version of the stories of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Torah. Only the kind of marble statue avi RETVRN dipshit, who gets his ideas of "historical accuracy" from following Ian Miles Cheong, would have such a conception of "historical accuracy" in the first place.

@rsf92 He's a trillionaire who exerts an enormous amount of influence over the government and public opinion, so IMO he should be relentlessly confronted and mocked.

Nevertheless, I think anyone who doesn't know yet that he's a fool, won't be convinced by any amount of criticism and mockery, specially in public spaces like this, I've personally had more success in one on one conversations.
