.. just have to send $35 to a stranger on the internet, sure it will be fine
..
looks like it might arrive tomorrow, better work out how esphome stuff works then
Nice, he even 3D printed a case for me
.. that was fun to configure, now I want more ESPHome stuff
What sort of wire do I need from Jaycar to connect 3.3V?
@mattrobertson literally any kind but 3.3V is very low so you can get something quite thin and flexible. If it’s for signal rather than power, do yourself and future yourself a favour and don’t use black or red.
@nonspecialist @mattrobertson 22AWG. Thin enough that it’s not too terrible for signal lines, thick enough to handle a decent amount of current for power lines.
@jpm I've got some cat6 cable here with 23 AGW printed on it, is that good enough?
@mattrobertson yeah should be fine if it’s not drawing too much power. Less than 4A should be fine.
@jpm ta, I think it might be up to 30V but no idea what the amps are, it's just to an LCD wall controller so surely it's not much
@mattrobertson @jpm the thinner the wire, the more of a fusible link it is
