@SonstHarmlos @Ember @chris_evelyn you can do that on your infrastructure. Every infra provider has rules about what they allow and what not. This idea of "I must be unlimited in what I want to do and everyone still needs to do all the work I want them to in order to make my life easier" is a bit juvenile/libertarian
@tante @Ember @chris_evelyn Codeberg has been widely recommended as a European alternative to GitHub, e.g. in #DIDay events. With this, and hundred of thousands of users and projects you have some responsibility to make sensible decisions. The question to which extent GenAI contributions should be allowed should be made by the individual projects.
@SonstHarmlos @Ember @chris_evelyn If that is your policy, set up a forge with those values. Forgejo is free.
@tante @SonstHarmlos @Ember @chris_evelyn Codeberg also never was an 'EU alternative to GH'. It has always focused on being a home for FOSS projects and intentionally not for non-FOSS stuff.
So being surprised that the *community* that makes CB run has values is a bit weird 🙈
