I want smaller, simpler, hand made, purely human created, carefully designed programs made by paid programmers who care about making code last.
The lifetime of a well designed program should be measured in decades. We should think like furniture makers. Design and build things that last.
@mos_8502 Right now it feels like I'm trying to build furniture in a house that's steadily crumbling around me.
I would love to find tools and a platform that will actually last. Which maybe means a VM of some kind?
@freakazoid @mos_8502 Java is pretty stable at this point. Also as far as I know, the OpenJDK has a strict no-AI policy.
