Oscar let me sleep!! No meowing in my face, no dawn howling, he just slept nicely pressed up to my feet for a while, and came to pester me for food when my alarm went off. I really hope we can keep this going!
He was adopted for/by my sister, but she was adamant that I should do my best to bond with him too, and Oscar has very much become attached to us both. He vaguely likes my father but mostly ignores him, and he's a little scared of my mother because she moves too fast and doesn't look where she's going, so she's already tripped on him twice and stepped on his tail once. 😭 But he turns for affection and reassurance to both me and my sister.
@idzie My partner's rescue was exactly the same when he first came home then within a few weeks he got used to people schedule and settled in in much the same way. Enjoy the kitty cuddles!
@serverlessaoife thanks!! For sure he was back to VERY early howling this morning, but I know this is still all so new to him, and I don't expect it'll stay this difficult in the (very very early) mornings lol
@idzie oh, what a sweetheart. I love your evolving relationship with Oscar 💕 🐈
@calendsofapril he's decided he's still a rooster not a cat, so a work in progress on the getting-Oscar-to-let-me-sleep front, but I still adore him lol
