I have great respect for point-free. I do not think there is malicious intent here. This library is popular, and there is information here that could be genuinely useful. So, with hesitation, I’m sharing.
(I also do not understand footgun 5, and think there is more to the story there)
@mattiem I was recently investigating swift-dependencies for flowvi.be - the app needs to run a lot of (dynamic) workflows (it's practically a DAG) and orchestrating all that in a sane way on iOS has proven very difficult for similar reasons. The suggested use for Needle only helps if DI is important but doesn't really help with isolation / dealing with crashes. Also my brain explodes when I try to imagine where my stuff runs in Swift 6 (executor/scope/actors...).

As for brain explosions, no! You keep repeating that you do not understand this stuff, but I want to hear your questions so we can make it clearer for you.
@mattiem No no, I didn't mean that 😁 - my brain explodes is a way of saying that it demands a lot of focus and attention, it needs me to do the right thing without enough feedback or build-time hints to help me notice what will happen when everything runs. I feel confident I understand the stuff :)
@iamkonstantin hmm I’m now more confused. I’ll admit that I do not understand DI systems in general, but how can there even be an ambiguity around where things run? It must all be encoded in the type system regardless of which DI framework it is.
@mattiem Also, it wasn't meant as a critic to Swift 6 or anything - just that the issue of orchestrating complex tasks with dependencies while bridging that to say app/SwiftUI lifecycle remains a tricky challenge
