the encyclical is 43k words, it's a book. written by smart guys who thought deeply on it, for a specific audience, it's all load bearing no filler.
it's a perfectly fine document for what it is from that organisation, it's more or less the obvious correct things, that's fine. it is nice to see someone with a big platform saying this obvious stuff.
