It seems that DB are now doing the awesome trick of deprioritising your train once it's a certain bit late. It's getting progressively later and I'm not even on it yet. Will I make my connection in Hamburg? Up to the DB gods at this point.
A small consolation is that all the trains seem to be cooked at FFM today - first hot day?
Arrived in Kiel juuuuuuust under 2 hrs late. I'm convinced DB do this in order to not have to pay the bigger compensation that kicks in at the 2 hr mark 😂

We're still waiting for the cargo to finish loading. It's quite interesting, they have these trucks where the driver's seat rotates depending on whether they're driving or reversing - so essentially no reversing! Cool.
Turns out the colour line is actually more of a cruise ship than a ferry 😅
I only brought 2 changes of clothes, and none really giving cruise ship vibes. Oh well, leaning into it before we go and break ourselves cycling 😅
