How well would your current WIP work as a play?
It wouldn't! Too many settings and multiple alternating plot strands. Never mind the length (148,000 words)!

@cstross that's way more than as typical novel, isn't it? Do you deliberately overshoot and then cull?
@fazalmajid Novel length varies with genre. This one is a space opera, and they tend to run long.
