@nileane I absolutely hate this, and it's not the first time I've heard bad things about him, but I have to have a search engine that works and it does an okay job. So now I'm supporting a techbro arsehole so I can continue doing research for terminology for my translation work which is being killed off by other techbro arseholes. I detest this timeline.

He's a CEO. At this point, my whole stance is all CEOs are asshats like this until they prove me otherwise, but did you write a fantastic blog post breaking all this down? I remember sharing one, it even contained emails to and from the douche, but if that was/is you, I loved that blog post! I lost the link though, sadly. @nileane

I do use Kagi, though I was reluctant to sign up for years because of rando weird stuff like this I kept hearing about.
I can't use Google, and DuckDuckGo has struggled to keep up lately with all the slop. So I turn to Kagi, but that in no way validates how their CEO has behaved. Boo.
@jaredwhite @nileane I’m also in a moral dilemma over Kagi because it’s a product I think is actually good… I do avoid other products like Brave for similar awful tech bro CEO reasons, so I’ve created a double standard for myself.
I hate that tech has largely just become picking from the “least bad” options. 😖
