@catsalad Had an exchange with my wife several years ago where I "I don't think the mailman has been here yet" and she rightly pointed out that this was not inclusive language and anyhow, it was a woman. To which I immediately replied, "Sorry. I don't think the femaleman has been here yet."
(But I did adopt "letter carrier" not long after.)
