i think nina who is aroused by the scent of oil and thinks of gundams as her children is a fascinating character. i was going to venture that she was being assigned "male" traits in contrast to kou uraki's absolute rejection of toxic masculinity but i think they are quite compatible without enforced heteronormativity
it is sad that amuro and char's extremely gay relationship is never made explicit. there is a scene in zeta gundam that even i could see was highly sexual but unfortunately they can't kiss. it is extremely rare to see het kissing in any gundam though. amuro does have some hetero wet dreams so yeah it could stand to be more gay
