Because the unspoken but accepted fact is that the right is and has always been racist, antisemitic, misogynist and anti-LGBTQ
And no one even bothers to deny it or hide it anymore

@Steve I was kind of responding to Monbiot’s essay, which is mostly about how the media has a double standard
