ff nightly, which now pops up search bar suggestions from google ad servers like youtube, popped up "how to renew passport" after typing one letter, then erased the result. they have now provided me a data point. well, two (this app is probably exfiltrating credentials at this point, fmlllll)

unfortunately for me, i am looking for a web browser that supports noscript now
is this finally it. entering my tor browser alpha era.....
it makes perfect sense to assume mozilla sync is completely compromised. i think that's a safe bet. luckily.......
.....well, no. losing history results means i'm pushed to use search. ddg is absolutely more (obviously) censored than google (that's because google has spent decades mastering the craft)
we haven't verified that mozilla sync has truly fallen, but making it inaccessible to any search (yes history search gives the same results) achieves the same.
GREAT WORK, GOOGLE!!
one small problem: if you use the beam rifle to blast away my heavy armor, i can move faster than you. my name is rock lee
this is pretty interesting bc it's completely different from all my other text search goals: local content search of EVERY PAGE I HAVE EVER VISITED
[you'll note this is literally google search, and exactly what chrome achieves like legitimately for google: all the domains its users visit, so google immediately knows about any new sites before anyone else. i'm pretty sure this was in the doj antitrust case, that's something they just give right out]
at this point, where does "result search" stop and "live website navigation" start????
ok now THAT'S a certified shower thought
@hipsterelectron just self-host your own syncserver. I don't know how to tie that into your own auth just yet, but all the sync data can be stored on your own machine. I'm doing that right now in fact
