A nice side effect of focusing on a single gaming platform for years (in my case the Game Boy Advance) is that you stop looking at what's not there and how "bad" some games are compared to other platforms, and you start looking at what's there, at how many nice titles there are you never paid attention to, and at how these supposedly downgraded ports are amazing in their own right. It makes you look at the medium more positively but not more naively.

@KekunPlazas is this a post about Drill Dozer?
@thibaultamartin Hehe no, but I did enjoy it. 🙂
I started playing Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge with pretty low expectations, but to my surprise I'm having quite a good time. It plays and feels like the original N64 entry if it was locked to a top down view, bearing the same gameplay and charm. Is it as good as the original ? No, but it's really good in its own right nonetheless, and it feels surprisingly close to the original.
