Sverige should add English as an official language. English is required for international business and the primary shared language between collaborators from multiple countries.

I think English is a terrible language linguistically, but it is the one with the most interoperability and economic opportunity.

Also, US English instead of British English should be used. US English is more evolved, with simplified spelling more indicative of pronunciation.

I would love to see the international community of English speakers (those who do not live in UK or US) agree to evolve the language further formally. There still are too many spelling/pronunciation disparities and ~200 irregular commonly used verbs.

I think if ESL people decided to call eleven teen-one to pattern match the other 10s, accept deers as plural of a deer, or spell tuf without the silent letters, it would catch on as fast as the dumb shit Gen Z parrots from TikTok toddlers.

@Jeremiah you mean one-teen like four-teen and six-teen?

i kind of like that 11 and 12 follow the old base 12 system of "one leven" and "two leven" even if they use a pronunciation of "one" and "two" so archaic that even most english-as-first-language speakers don't recognize them

@robey I was thinking of the pattern twenty one, thirty one... so teen one. But ten groups < 100 are another different pattern from one hundred, one thousand... So yeah, I guess it should be one teen, one twenty... with an understanding that 120 would become one hundred two twenty.
