@rysiek I was trying to articulate some of the thoughts that go through my head when I read a post-mortem - yes, having just read CloudFlare's.

I think it's a useful way to look at things. There is so much to learn from mistakes.

And yes, my reading of their postmortem is very positive and forgiving - at least of the engineering side of things. It was a great failure. A wonderful failure.

That doesn't mean I think having a persistent MITM for 20% of all the web's traffic is a good idea.
