#WritersCoffeeClub 4: What would you like to see explored in prompts for this hashtag game?
Honestly, I'm not sure. It must be incredibly difficult to come up with a new prompt every day and I couldn't do it myself.
What I really like about WritersCoffeeClub is that we talk more generally about writing in ways that we can, if we choose, link back to our work. I dislike the daily hashtags that require constantly sharing snippets or responding to prompts in-character, etc.
#WritersCoffeeClub 5: What鈥檚 a no-longer popular trend in writing you鈥檇 like to see make a comeback?
Ominscient POV is pretty great. I'd love to read more of it. It's not really my thing as a writer but I like to give it a try now and then.
Really long, descriptive chapter titles. 'In Which Our Protagonist finds themself in a spot of bother, and by a spot, I mean a heaping pile of shit'.
Fully illustrated covers! It's starting to make a comeback but I want it to comeback faster!
No more understated photos, text-only covers, or photoshops of daggers/snakes surrounded by flowers!
Only cool, artistic illustrations and photomanipulations! I want to see a whole scene, or at least some cool character art!
(Stylised is good, too, but I feel like the fully illustrated cover needs a lot more love!)

I used to desperately polish my work while hiding myself as I wrote it. And now I let the rough edges show, because that's where most of my voice exists.
I still have some similar loves. I love to write a protagonist that isn't the hero of the story. I still write character-first. But I'm also a different person now.
